The Chelmsford Science Festival returns from 20 to 28 October, bringing nine days of talks, demonstrations, workshops and family activities to Anglia Ruskin University and venues across the city. This year's theme is “Future Worlds: Earth, Space, You”, exploring everything from climate change and space exploration to artificial intelligence, health, technology and the future of gaming.
Among the headline guests are naturalist and broadcaster Chris Packham, historian David Olusoga and science presenter Dallas Campbell, while the popular Family Science Days return on 24 and 25 October. There's also a new Playable Worlds programme focusing on gaming, creative technology and digital careers, alongside dozens of free and ticketed activities aimed at adults, young people and families. Bookings are already open for selected events.
