Spring is the perfect time to visit one of Chelmsford’s favourite monthly markets!
On Sunday 12th April 2026, the popular Farmers’ & Crafts Market (also known as the Essex Foodies Market) will take place at Hylands Estate as part of the Hylands Open Estate Day.
Visitors can browse a fantastic selection of local produce, fresh seasonal food, handmade crafts, artisan goods, street food and more. The market is set in the scenic outdoor area between The Stables and the historic Hylands House, making it a lovely day out for the whole family.
While at the estate, you can also explore the beautiful grounds, wander around Hylands House (last entry 3pm), enjoy live music or activities, and take advantage of the dog-friendly environment.
