Latest update — 18 September 2026: Organisers have confirmed that Chelmsford Summer Series will return in 2027. Dates, venue and artists remain to be announced.
Is Chelmsford Summer Series returning in 2027?
Yes. The official Chelmsford Summer Series website now carries the message “See you in 2027” and is accepting registrations for priority access to tickets before they go on general sale.
That is the only firm announcement so far. No 2027 dates, artists or full ticket arrangements have been published, and we will add them here once they are confirmed by the organisers.

When is Chelmsford Summer Series 2027?
The 2027 dates are still to be confirmed.
The 2026 series took place across the August bank holiday weekend, from Friday 28 to Sunday 30 August.
That does not guarantee the same weekend or format will be used in 2027, so visitors should wait for the formal announcement before making travel or accommodation plans.
Who is in the 2027 line-up?
No acts have been announced for Chelmsford Summer Series 2027 yet.
We will update this section as soon as the first headliner and supporting performers are revealed.
Until then, any names circulating online should be treated as speculation unless they appear through the event’s official channels or are confirmed by the artist concerned.
How can I get Chelmsford Summer Series 2027 tickets?
Tickets are not yet on general sale. Fans can currently register through the official event website for priority access to 2027 tickets.
Signing up does not replace a ticket purchase, but it should give registered fans early information when the organisers reveal the dates, acts and on-sale schedule.
Ticket prices, age restrictions, hospitality options and booking fees have not yet been confirmed.
What happened at Chelmsford Summer Series 2026?
The inaugural 2026 event brought three days of live music to Central Park over the August bank holiday weekend.
Friday’s programme featured Sugababes and Melanie C, while McFly headlined on Saturday 29 August. The McFly show had an extra local connection through the band’s Chelmsford-born drummer, Harry Judd.
Sunday became the New World Festival, led by Craig David’s TS5 show. The dance line-up also included Sammy Virji, Joel Corry and Nathan Dawe.
The mix of major pop acts, dance music and a city-centre setting established the event as one of Chelmsford’s biggest new live-music weekends.
The confirmed return gives organisers the opportunity to build on that first year in 2027.
Where will the 2027 event be held?
The 2027 venue has not yet been formally announced.
The 2026 Summer Series was held in Central Park, close to Chelmsford city centre, but visitors should not assume the arrangements will be identical next year until the organisers confirm them.
If the event returns to Central Park, the site is within walking distance of Chelmsford railway and bus stations.
Detailed entrance, parking, road closure and accessibility information would normally be released closer to the event.
Is this the same event as State Fayre at Hylands Park?
No. Chelmsford Summer Series and State Fayre are separate events.
State Fayre is due to take place at Hylands Park from 18 to 20 June 2027, while the Summer Series dates and venue remain unconfirmed.
