McFly to Headline Chelmsford Summer Series 2026 at Central Park

Chelmsford, Essex – The Summer Series is returning to Chelmsford this summer with a major headline performance from pop-rock favourites McFly.

The band will take to the stage in Central Park on Saturday 29 August 2026 as part of the popular outdoor music series. With drummer Harry Judd born in Chelmsford and bassist Dougie Poynter from nearby Corringham, the show marks a special homecoming for two of the band’s members.

McFly, known for hits such as All About You, Obviously, Star Girl and That Girl, will bring their high-energy live show to the heart of Chelmsford over the August Bank Holiday weekend. Support acts for the McFly date are expected to be announced soon.

The Summer Series continues the following day with New World Festival on Sunday 30 August 2026, where Craig David will headline and perform his acclaimed TS5 show to celebrate the event’s 5th anniversary. Special guest Fuse ODG is also confirmed for the Sunday line-up.

Central Park provides a fantastic setting for these large-scale outdoor concerts, with plenty of space, licensed bars, food stalls and family-friendly vibes (though the McFly show is strictly 18+).
